Stage 2 - ATPL (H)

The next step in becoming a professional helicopter pilot is to complete the ATPL ground school and build your experience as a pilot.

The ATPL-course starts every year in September and during the ground school you will learn everything there is to know about helicopter flying and how to work in a helicopter company. The instructors are from the helicopter aviation industry and they have experience from various areas including arial work and Search and Rescue.

The ATPL-course is 8 months in duration and is divided into 13 subjects and 2 exam sessions with the Swedish CAA.

Before, during and after the ground school you build your experience by flying time building so that you increase your total flight time to 155 hours.

After the CAA exams and your hour building is complete you can start the next stage which is the CPL (H).
