Stage 1 - PPL

The first step to become a pilot is the Private Pilot Licence, PPL

With a PPL you can rent airplanes to fly family and friend to almost any airport in the world. Should you choose to rent SPU aircraft, we are insured to fly in Europe and a few further countries. Flying with a PPL is conducted under the Visual Flight Rules which means that you fly using visual references.

The PPL takes around 4 months for a full time student which includes ground school Monday to Friday 8.30 to 12 and flying lessons Monday to Friday in the afternoons. The ground school is 9 weeks in duration plus 2 weeks of self study in preparation for the School and CAA exams. When the exams are finished you fly both in the morning and in the afternoon.

After you pass your PPL skill test with an examiner from the Swedish CAA you can rent airplanes from the school on weekends and evenings. If you are interested  in a PPL, the school offers a 45 minute trial lesson with a professional flight instructor where you receive a basic briefing on how to fly and also the opportunity to try flying the airplane your self.

If you want to learn more please sign up for one of our reqruitment days!
